Edge Development Group offers a complete set of credit training courses for our clients in the financial services industry. The Credit Skills Curriculum consists of six courses designed to provide bankers with the credit analysis and loan structuring skills required to make sound lending decisions.

Edge's Credit Skills Curriculum includes three self-directed, or self-study courses:
Financial Accounting for Bankers
Commercial Credit Analysis
Principles of Loan Structure

Using a case study approach, these courses can be completed by learners independently or in conjunction with periodic classroom sessions with the assistance of a course administrator or coach. The three courses can be used individually or together to form a solid skill set for new hires, credit analysts or lenders who deal with commercial clients of all sizes.

The curriculum also includes two classroom workshops that can be taught by either an internal facilitator or an Edge instructor:
Analyzing Business Cash Flow
Loan Structure Applications

These workshops are beneficial as a follow-up to the self-study courses, or for bankers with several years of experience who need a refresher or who may not have had formal credit training.

Finally, we offer a course called Commercial Lending Fundamentals. This course is designed for bankers who deal with clients in the lower end of the small business arena, including those who interact with clients but who do not have direct responsibility for underwriting loans.

To see more about any of our courses, click on the course title. At the end of each course page, you will have an opportunity to print out a course description and to see sample materials (requires Acrobat Reader).
